Iran's raw steel production amounted to about 23.2 million tons, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through January 20, 2022), which is a decrease of 8 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
Meanwhile, in the first 10 months of the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021), Iran produced 25.3 million tons of raw steel.
"Furthermore, 16.4 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran over 10 months. This is a decrease of 5 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure stood at 17.2 million tons in the same period last Iranian year," the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran produced about 25.8 million tons of sponge iron within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure stood at 25.6 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
