The preferential trade agreement between Azerbaijan and Iran, which provides for the facilitation of trade between the two countries, includes the names of 52 types of goods, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Ali Alizada said, Trend reports citing Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province Governor Office.

He made the remark during a meeting with Governor of West Azerbaijan Province Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian.

According to Alizada, these goods are produced by both countries and are mutually imported and exported to each other.

"It is hoped that this agreement will improve trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran in the near future," he added.

The ambassador noted that the restoration of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan creates conditions for the development of cooperation with Iran, especially with the West Azerbaijan Province.

Alizada also pointed out that Azerbaijan intends to use the opportunities of investors from other countries to implement various plans. On March 11, 2022, a meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission will be held in Azerbaijan to attract investors to the liberated territories.
