Azerbaijan’s AzerGold CJSC produced 1,912.7 kilograms of gold (61,500 ounces) and 4,179.8 kilograms of silver (134,400 ounces) in 2021, which is by 2.5 percent and 10.9 percent more than in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers on activity in 2021.
Some 188.9 million manat ($111.1 million) were obtained as a result of selling the precious metals mined at the Chovdar and Aghyokhush deposits on the international and domestic markets.
These funds were transferred to the state budget in 2021, which is by two percent more compared to 2020.
