BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. The Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA) focuses on financial literacy in its activities based on the goals defined in the "Strategic Roadmap for the Development of Financial Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan", Chairman of the Board of AMFA Jalal Aliyev told Trend.

More than 4,000 people have taken part in AMFA's financial literacy projects since 2004, he said.

"AMFA has trained 32 financial literacy trainers in different regions to expand the access of residents of Azerbaijani regions to training," Aliyev said.

Improving financial literacy is the focus of the association, he also said.

"We will continue our activities in this direction in 2022. Currently, training on financial literacy for women is being held in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan," Aliyev added.

The AMFA has implemented more than 50 international projects, he also noted.
