BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. Iran’s exports through the customs of Isfahan Province increased by 56 percent in value and 14 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The customs official noted that a total of 2.15 million tons of goods worth about $1.36 billion were exported through the province's five customs over the last Iranian year.

He also added that $578 million worth of goods were exported to Iraq, $179 million worth to Pakistan, $125 million worth to Afghanistan and $81 million worth to Turkey via the province’s customs during the reporting period.

According to Kuhestani 1.3 million tons of goods worth about $689 million were exported through the Isfahan border checkpoint of the province last Iranian year. The exports increased by 63 percent in value and 17 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian year.

“In addition, 556,000 tons of goods worth $446 million were exported through the Kashan border checkpoint within the last Iranian year, which is an increase of 60 percent in value, and 27 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian year,” he said.

The director general stressed that about 90,300 tons of goods worth over $84 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company over the mentioned period, which is an increase of 18 percent in value, while a decrease of 37 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian year.

“Also, 197,000 tons of goods worth $127 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company last Iranian year. This is an increase of 56 percent in value, and 5 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian year,” Kuhestani said.

The official also pointed out that 842 tons of goods worth $8.72 million were exported through the customs of Shahid Beheshti International Airport in the last Iranian year. The exports decreased by 37 percent in value and 69 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian year.
