Labor migration from Turkey to Kazakhstan declines

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. The number of trips of Turkish citizens to Kazakhstan for the purpose of employment decreased by more than half from January through February 2022, the General Directorate of the Turkish Employment Service (ISKUR) told Trend.

The number of Turkish citizens who visited Kazakhstan through ISKUR amounted to 16 during this period and decreased by 62 percent compared to January through February 2021.

A total of 2,397 Turkish citizens generally went abroad through ISKUR during the reporting period, which is 48.1 percent more than from January through February 2021.

A total of 86,595 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs through ISKUR in February 2022, 99.6 percent of job seekers got jobs in the private sector.

The number of unemployed in Turkey amounted to 3.1 million in February 2021, of which 49.8 percent are women, and 50.2 percent are men.

A total of 87,681 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs through ISKUR in 2021, of which 58.7 percent were men and 41.3 percent were women and 98.9 percent of job seekers got jobs in the private sector.

The number of unemployed in Turkey was 3.1 million in 2021, of which 49.8 percent are women and 50.2 percent are men.
