BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. Car manufacturing of Iran’s Saipa Group decreased by 3.4 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.
According to the report, the Saipa manufactured a total of 304,533 passenger cars in the last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the figure stood at 317,311.
So, the company manufactured 260,258 units of Tiba, 23,279 units of “Saipa 151” and 20,866 units of Shahin and 130 units of Ario cars within the last Iranian year.
“Meanwhile, in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), the company manufactured 12,942 passenger cars,” the report said.
Three giant Iranian automakers (Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Pars Khodro) manufactured a total of 867,363 cars over the last Iranian year, which is a decrease of 3.7 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, these companies had manufactured about 900,794 cars in the same period last Iranian year.
