BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. The activity of 37 industrial enterprises were resumed in Iran’s Qom Province (northern Iran), over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), the head of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qom Province Akbar Abdali said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to Abdali, the enterprises are engaged in the production of textiles, foodstuff and metal products.

The official added that 541 people were provided with jobs as a result of the resumption of the activity of mentioned enterprises.

“In total, 3.27 trillion rials (about $ 77.9 million) has been spent in this regard,” he said.

Abdali noted that a total of 61,315 people work in industrial enterprises operating in the Qom Provincce.

“In general, about 894 trillion rials (about $21.3 billion) has been spent on these enterprises,” the official stressed.

There are currently about 2,400 industrial enterprises operating in Iran's Qom Province.
