BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. The trade turnover between Iran and Oman increased by 53 percent in value, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Iranian co-chair of Iran-Oman Joint Chamber of Commerce Mohsen Zarrabi said, Trend reports citing the chamber’s website.

Zarrabi emphasized that the value of trade turnover between the two countries for the last Iranian year amounted to about $1.64 billion, which is a record figure.

The official also added that Iran exported $716 million worth of goods to Oman within last Iranian year, which is an increase of 63 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year.

According to him, the two countries will continue to take steps to increase trade turnover during the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

In general, Iran imported $619 million worth of goods from Oman last Iranian year, which is an increase of 43 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year, Iran's Customs Administration said in its previous report.
