Kazakhstan increases passenger cars manufacturing

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. A total of 19,531 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through March 2022, which is 11 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

In turn, passenger car production in March alone amounted to 7,123 cars, which also is 18.1 percent more than in March 2021.

The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 2,267 vehicles (649 in March), specialized vehicles – 65 (17 in March).

Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in March 2022 amounted to 151, which is 1.3 percent less than in March 2021. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 151 vehicles, which is 28.6 percent more than during the same period of last year.

In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 83,831 during three months of 2022 and 38,835 in March 2022, which is 3.9 times and 3.2 times more respectively than during the same period of 2021.

A total of eight diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over three months of 2022.
