IRICA discloses details of Iran’s exports to Azerbaijan via customs of Imam Khomeini Airport

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. More than 218 tons of goods worth over $5.1 million were exported to Azerbaijan through customs of Iran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport in the Tehran Province, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), according to the official statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), obtained by Trend.

The main exported goods from the mentioned customs for the reporting period were various types of carpets, profile tubes, essential oils, medical and laboratory equipment, a peripheral venous catheter, etc.

Furthermore, a total of 1.69 tons of goods worth $838,713 were imported from Azerbaijan through the custom of Iran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport within last Iranian year.

The imported goods were mainly spare parts for bus, minibus, and truck’s engines, mobile phones, flow meter, pump, and etc.

In total, Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan for the last Iranian year amounted to about 852,000 tons worth about $608 million.

The trade turnover between the two countries increased by 93 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
