Iran says neighboring countries looking to import its medicines

TEHRAN, Iran, May 2. Neighboring countries are looking to import medicine from Iran, said Iran's Minister of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare Hojjatullah Abdul-Maleki, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Abdul-Maleki delivered the remark during his visit to the Tamin Pharmaceutical Investment Company (TPICO).

“Tamin Pharmaceutical Investment Company (TPICO), belonging to The Social Security Investment Company (SHASTA), had a 67-percent growth in sales and 47-percent growth in net profit last year,” said the minister.

According to the official, TPICO produces more than 35 percent of the country's total domestic medicine.

“The company is involved the production of 130 new drugs,” he said.
