BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 14. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 78.4 billion tenge ($182.8 million) from January through April 2022, which is 33.7 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in April 2022 amounted to 21.4 billion tenge ($49.9 million), which is 22.9 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 889.3 million tons, which is 3.8 percent more compared to the same period of last year (219.4 million tons in April 2022, up by 7.5 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 41.9 billion ton-kilometers which is 0.7 percent less than during the same period of last year (10.2 billion in April 2022, an increase of 1.3 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 34.1 billion tenge ($79.5 million) over the reporting period of 2022, which is 19.2 percent more than during the same period of last year. April revenue from passenger transportation was 9.9 billion tenge ($23.08 million), which is 25.1 percent more compared to April 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 2.1 billion people, which is 19.5 percent more than during the same period of last year (586.6 million passengers in April 2022, up by 8.4 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 23.3 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 18.4 percent.
The passenger turnover in April was 6.3 billion (12.6 percent more year-on-year).
