BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. There are currently more than 4.2 million tons of essential products available at Iranian ports and customs, the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend citing the administration.

According to Latifi, about 3.1 million tons of essential products have already been unloaded at Iranian customs and ports.

“At the same time, 350 626 tons of essential products are currently being unloaded from 17 ships, as well as 811,646 tons are waiting to be unloaded from 16 ships,” he added.

The spokesman also noted that more than 50,000 tons of essential products a day are released from customs and transported to various provinces of the country through more than 2,000 trucks and 150 wagons.

The customs official stressed that there are currently 2.05 million tons of corn, about 824,000 tons of wheat, about 593,000 tons of soybean seeds, 351,000 tons of cooking oil, about 204,000 tons of barley, about 112,000 tons of rice, and 77,000 tons of raw sugar available in Iran's ports and customs.
