TEHRAN, Iran, May 24. Iran is negotiating with neighbor countries to increase transportation and cargo transit, said the Minister of Road and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Iran had serious negotiations about transit and transportation with Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the Persian Gulf countries," he said.
Ghasemi noted that Iran and Oman had an agreement over transportation and the launch of a logistic center in Iran for cargo transit via railway to Caucus countries and Central Asia.
According to the official, Iran can transit 20 million tons of cargo.
