Industrial output up in Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 29.5 million tons from January through April 2022, which is 5 percent more than during the same months of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 4.7 percent compared to the reporting period of 2021.

Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 41.7 million tons, which is 0.7 percent less compared to the reporting months of 2021. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 1.6 million tons (increase of 4.2 percent compared to the same period of 2021).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 3.3 million tons, which is 1.6 percent more than during the same period of 2021. Manufacturing of metal constructions was 24,500 tons (decrease by 4.5 percent), of electricity to 40 billion kWh (decrease by 0.9 percent).

The manufacturing of mineral and chemical fertilizers also stood at 0.2 million tons, which also is 4.4 percent less than over the period from January through April 2021.

The value of products manufactured in Kazakhstan stood at 15.4 trillion tenge ($35.9 billion) over four months of 2022, of which 8.04 trillion tenge ($18.7 billion) accounted for the mining industry, and 6.4 trillion tenge ($14.9 billion) for manufacturing.

Production of crude oil increased by 5 percent, of natural gas by 6.4 percent, beverages by 18.7 percent, tobacco products by 19.3 percent, rubber and plastic products by 14.3 percent, pharmaceuticals by 6.4 percent and other non-metallic mineral products by 9.5 percent.
