BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. Iran has exported four hand-made carpets with a total size of 2,000 square meters to the United Arab Emirates in recent days, the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said Trend reports citing the administration.
The spokesman stressed that these carpets were woven by Tabriz carpet weavers for 7 years.
Latifi also added that the size of each of the 2 carpets is 600 square meters. Each of these carpets is 30 meters long and 20 meters wide.
“Meanwhile, the size of each of the other 2 carpets is 400 square meters. Each of these carpets is 20 meters long and 20 meters wide,” he noted.
According to the customs official, over the past 15 years, no hand-made carpet of this size has been exported from Iran. The export of these carpets will increase production and export interest in the country.
