BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. Iran's carpets and handicrafts export amounted to 700 tons worth $15.2 million for the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).
This is an increase of 26 percent in value, while a decrease of 53 percent in volume, compared to the same month of the previous Iranian year.
Thus, Iran has exported a total of 1,600 tons of carpets and handicrafts worth $12.1 million in the same month last Iranian year.
In total, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 7.32 million tons worth about $3.7 billion for the 1st month of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 24.6 percent in value, while a decrease of 10 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.
