BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. A total of 36,420 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through May 2022, which is 28.6 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in May alone amounted to 9,085 cars, which also is 68.3 percent more than in May 2021.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 3,323 vehicles (624 in May), specialized vehicles – 107 (26 in May).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in May 2022 amounted to 45, which is 23.6 percent less than in May 2021. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 246 vehicles, which is 8.2 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 111,010 during five months of 2022 and 13,682 in May 2022, which is 3.1 times and 2.04 percent more respectively than during the same period of 2021.
A total of 10 diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over five months of 2022.
