Iran releases data on exports from its industrial towns

TEHRAN, Iran, July 5. Deputy of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization Azizullah Ghorbani said that goods worth $2.7 billion have been exported in 2021, Trend reports citing Mehr.

The goods were exported by some 1000 companies.

“The share of small industries from the total non-oil exports of the country is less than 10 percent,” sais Ghorbani adding that most domestic needs are met by the small industries.

According to the official, one of the most important export obstacles for small industries is not having a brand.

“Branding of at least 31 small industrial factories has been put on the agenda of the organization,” he noted.

Ghorbani stated that about 10 export consortia have been established.
