BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. The iron ore pellet production of 9 major Iranian companies increased by 21 percent, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, these companies produced about 11.4 million tons of iron ore pellets over 3 months. The figure stood at 9.37 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"Within 3 months, the Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 3.33 million tons of iron ore pellets, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 1.86 million tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 1.32 million tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 1.18 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 1.1 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran produced 1.08 million tons of iron ore pellets, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company – 953,000 tons, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company – about 392,000 tons, and Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 133,000 tons within the mentioned period.
Furthermore, the mentioned 9 companies sent 3.94 million tons of iron ore pellets to local companies in 3 months.
