BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. Iran's raw steel exports increased by 18 percent, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, Iran exported a total of 1.9 million tons of raw steel within 3 months. Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at 1.62 million tons.
So, Iran exported 1.32 million tons of billet and bloom in 3 months, which is an increase of 25 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. The figure was 1.06 million tons in the same period of the last Iranian year.
Iran also exported 584,000 tons of slabs for the reporting period, which is 4 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year. So, the export amounted to 563,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Furthermore, Iran exported 609,000 tons of steel products over 3 months. This is a decrease of 30 percent, compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
Thus, the country’s steel products exports amounted to 873,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Over 3 months, Iran exported 95,000 tons of sponge iron, which is a decrease of 70 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure amounted to 321,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
