BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. In general, Iran has imported 3 million tons of goods worth $4.77 billion for the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2022), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The customs official noted that imports have increased by 15 percent in value and decreased by 26 percent in volume compared to the same month of the preceding Iranian year.

“So, Iran imported goods worth about $1.45 billion from the UAE, worth $1.29 billion from China, $514 million from Türkiye, worth $347 million from India and worth $205 million from Russia in the 4th month,” Latifi said.

In total, Iran's non-oil trade turnover for the 4th month amounted to about 11 million tons worth $8.94 billion. Trade turnover increased by 19 percent in value, while decreased by 8 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.
