BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. Iran's raw steel exports decreased by 13 percent, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).

According to the statistics, Iran exported a total of 2.21 million tons of raw steel within 4 months. Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at 2.53 million tons.

So, Iran exported about 1.55 million tons of billet and bloom in 4 months, which is a decrease of 8 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. The figure was about 1.69 million tons in the same period of the last Iranian year.

Iran also exported 661,000 tons of slabs for the reporting period, which is 21 percent less than in the same period last Iranian year. So, the export amounted to 841,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

Furthermore, Iran exported 876,000 tons of steel products over 4 months. This is a decrease of 25 percent, compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

Thus, the country’s steel products exports amounted to 1.16 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.

Over 4 months, Iran exported 166,000 tons of sponge iron, which is a decrease of 60 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure amounted to 415,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
