BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 28. Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) intends to increase car manufacturing in Azerbaijan by 50 percent, Executive Director of the IKCO, Mehdi Khatibi told Trend.
“The purpose of increasing the manufacturing of the "Dena" car assembled in Azerbaijan is to increase the export of Iranian cars to the local markets of Azerbaijan, and through the mentioned country to other countries at the next stage,” he said.
Khatibi added that recently, an agreement was signed between Iran and Russia regarding the assembly of the Iranian "Tara" car in Russia. Currently, discussions are being held with the Russian side regarding the price of the car. This car will be sold in the Russian market at a competitive price.
