BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. The construction of a factory for the production of various tires for buses and heavy tonnage trucks in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) will start soon, Chairman of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Vajihollah Jafari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Jafari, the owners of the mentioned factory will be Iran's IMIDRO and Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO). The factory will be built with the investment of Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Mines and Metals Development Investment Company and the IDRO.
The chairman noted that a total of 30 trillion rials (about $714 million) will be spent on the construction of this factory.
“The mentioned factory will be able to produce 27,000 tons of tires for heavy tonnage trucks and buses per year. Of this, 9,000 tons will be OTR (Off the Road tires), such as bulldozer and dump trucks, while 18,000 tons will be TBR (Truck and Bus Radial tires),” he said.
