BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. The export of non-oil products from Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province to Iraq increased by 7 percent in value during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of East Azerbaijan Province Sabir Parnian said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

According to Parnian, about $131 million worth of non-oil products were exported from the province to Iraq in 5 months.

“The main exported goods were petrochemical products, electrical and electronic equipment, dried fruits, steel products, cars, household appliances, including air conditioners and refrigerators, etc.,” he added.

The chairman also noted that there is enough potential for cultivation of agricultural products in East Azerbaijan Province.

Within 5 months, a total of 928,000 tons of non-oil products worth $560 million were exported through customs of East Azerbaijan Province.
