Iran’s non-oil trade with SCO member states increases

TEHRAN, Iran, September 24. Iran’s non-oil trade with member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has increased 29 percent during the first three months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022), said the Director General of financial and commercial market studies in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance Majid Karimi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Iran’s non-oil trade with the SCO member states has reached 12.34 million tons valued at $9.8 billion during the spring, he said.

The country’s non-oil export to members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was 10.2 million tons valued at $5.5 billion indicating a 20 percent rise compared to the same period in the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2021).

Iran has imported 2.1 million tons of non-oil commodities valued at $4.3 billion from eleven member countries in the SCO, during the first three months of the current year, showing a 41 percent increase compared to the previous year.

China, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, and Uzbekistan were the top five destinations for Iran’s non-oil export to Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.
