TEHRAN, Iran, October 3. The supervisor of Khuzestan customs Behrouz Qarabeigi said the sea border of Khorramshahr port is still open and active for exporting non-oil goods to Iraq, Trend reports citing IRNA.

In order to resume the export of goods to the southern ports of Iraq during the 2-week closure of Chazabeh and Shalamcheh commercial borders on Arbaeen pilgrims due to the worrying health and security situation, Iran has opened the Khorramshahr Sea border.

Qarabeigi said after the reopening of the Chazabeh and Shalamcheh commercial borders on September 22, the Khorramshahr Sea border has remained open for diversification of export routes and to reduce the costs of exporting goods to Iraq.

Khuzestan Customs Supervisor stated that the 2 commercial borders of Chazabeh and Shalamcheh and the sea border of Khorramshahr are the three official crossing borders for exporting goods to Iraq.

Iran exported commodities valued at $2.961 billion to its neighbor Iraq during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 - August 22).
