BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. The volume of cargo transported through the roads of Qazvin Province (northern Iran), increased by 7.79 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of the Qazvin Province Roads and Transportation Department Javad Hagh Lotfi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

The director general noted that about 5.5 million tons of cargo were transported via the roads of the province within 6 months.

He added that the transported goods were mainly various minerals, industrial products, mineral waters and detergents and etc.

According to Hagh Lotfi, there are 13,905 trucks and 12,710 drivers operating in the Qazvin Province.
