BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. The value of Iran’s imports through the Khorramshahr customs of Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran), increased by 44 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the head of Khorramshahr Customs Office Gholamreza Nikraftar told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to the Nikraftar, about $312 million worth of goods were imported through Khorramshahr customs in 6 months.

"The imported goods were mainly tires, various spare parts, etc., and imported from China, the UAE, South Korea and Taiwan," he said.

The official also noted that more than $68 million worth of goods were exported through Khorramshahr customs within the mentioned period. He added the main exported goods were cement, reinforcement, cereals and etc.

“In 6 months, the customs revenues of the Khorramshahr customs amounted to more than 6.89 trillion rials (about $164 million), which is 274 percent more than the in same period last Iranian year,” Nikraftar pointed out.
