BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. Iran's shrimp exports to China and Russia increased by 360 percent and 5 percent, respectively, in volume, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of Iran Fisheries Organization Abbas Mokhtari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
The official noted that Iran exported 17,325 tons of shrimp to China in 7 months.
“Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, Iran's shrimp export to China amounted to 4,790 tons,” he added.
In addition, Iran exported 1,205 tons of shrimp to Russia within 7 months. Whereas, the figure stood at 1,145 tons in the same period last Iranian year, Mokhtari said.
The official emphasized that the increase in Iran's shrimp exports will be continuous.
