BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 24. The passenger car manufacturing of Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) has increased by 42 percent since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Deputy Director of the IKCO Kianoush Pourmojib said, Trend reports citing the group’s website.
According to Pourmojib, Iran Khodro Company manufactured a total of 402,896 passenger cars within the mentioned period.
The deputy also added that the company sold 395,412 passenger cars since the beginning of the current Iranian year.
“Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), the company sold a total of 458,208 passenger cars,” he said.
Pourmojib noted that a noticeable increase will be recorded in the company’s passenger car sales by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2023).
“Within the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2022) alone, the company's passenger car sales amounted to 57,736 units, which is a record figure in the company’s history,” he stressed.
