BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 29. Generally, Iran exported more than 74,100 tons of fish and related products worth about $135 million, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Chairman of Iran's Aquatic Production and Trade Union Ali Akbar Khodaei said, Trend reports citing Iran Fisheries Organization’s website.

According to Khodaei, among the goods exported from the country in 6 months were: 11,100 tons of shrimp, 4,040 tons of trout, 3,870 tons of tropical fish, as well as 1,190 kg of caviar, 753 tons of canned tuna, 135 tons of decorative fish, 16,300 tons of fish harvested feed.

The chairman added that fishery products were mainly exported to China, Vietnam, Russia, the UAE and other countries around the Persian Gulf.

“Caviar and shrimp were mainly exported to European countries,” he said.
