BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 6. Overall, Iran exported 86,100 tons of goods worth $38.3 million to Kenya, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), Deputy Chairman of the Iranian-African Businessmen's Club Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports referring to the club.

According to Latifi, Iran's exports to Kenya for the reporting period decreased by 20 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The deputy added that Iran mainly exported $29.7 million worth of bitumen, $3.76 million worth of other petroleum products, and $1.44 million worth of agricultural and food products to Kenya in 8 months.

“In addition, Iran imported 2,490 tons of goods worth $12.6 million from Kenya over 8 months, which is an increase of 100 percent in value and 52 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he said.

The official also pointed out that 2,440 tons of Iran's imports from Kenya worth $12.5 million were accounted for tea and the rest for coffee.
