Iran expands agricultural exports from Qazvin Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11. Iran’s exports of agricultural products from Qazvin Province in the north of the country, increased 6 times, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, said Yousef Derakhshan, an official of the Agricultural Department of Qazvin Province, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The official noted that more than 15,100 tons of agricultural products were exported from the province in 8 months.

He added that mushrooms, raisins, peas and various fruits, including grapes, peaches, cherries, as well as lettuce and tomatoes were the main exported agricultural products from the province.

“The mentioned products were exported to Iraq, Canada, Russia, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy and the UAE,” Derakhshan said.

In addition, 1,530 tons of agricultural products were imported to the province over 8 months, according to the official.

Derakhshan also pointed out that the imported products were mainly cotton, barley, tea, lentils and others and imported from the UAE, Germany, India, Estonia, Canada, Türkiye, Switzerland and France.
