BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 5. Generally, Iran’s non-oil exports to neighboring countries through the ports of Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), increased by 5 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director of International Transit and Transport Department of Mazandaran Province Mohammad Bakeri said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
According to Bakeri, more than 824,000 tons of non-oil products were exported to Iran’s neighboring countries through the ports of Mazandaran Province in 9 months.
The director also added that the exported non-oil products via Mazandaran Province’s ports were mainly cement, mining minerals, dairy products and etc.
There are 3 ports operating in Iran's Mazandaran Province - Noshahr, Fereidoonkenar and Amirabad.
“Among the province’s ports, the most active port was the Amirabad in 9 months,” he said.
828,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $213 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Mazandaran Province within the first nine months of the current Iranian year.
