BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. The value of non-oil exports from Iran’s Zanjan Province in the west of the country increased by 14 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Economic Affairs and Finance Department of Zanjan Province Mohammad Reza Naderi told IRNA, Trend reports.

The director general noted that $460 million worth of non-oil products were exported from the province in 9 months.

“The main exported goods from the province were electric transformers and related spare parts, profile, reinforcements, steel ingot and copper wire and etc. On average, the value of each 1 ton of non-oil products exported from the province was $2,065,” he added.

According to Naderi, in addition, $444 million worth of goods were imported to the province in 9 months, an increase of 27 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The director general said that the imported goods were the raw materials used in manufacturing enterprises. The products were mainly imported from Türkiye, Iraq and Switzerland. On average, the value of each 1 ton of imported goods to the province was $1,159.

Naderi also pointed out that the income of the province's customs for 9 months amounted to 11.6 trillion rials (about $277 million), an increase of 6 times compared to the same period last Iranian year.
