BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. Iran's raw steel exports increased by 1 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).

According to the statistics, Iran exported 5.22 million tons of raw steel within 9 months. Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at 5.19 million tons.

Iran exported 4.08 million tons of billet and bloom in 9 months, which is an increase of 18 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. The figure was about 3.47 million tons in the same period of the last Iranian year.

Iran also exported 1.14 million tons of slabs for the reporting period, which is 34 percent less than in the same period last Iranian year. So, the export amounted to about 1.72 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.

Furthermore, Iran exported approximately 2.46 million tons of steel products over 9 months. This is a decrease of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Thus, the country’s steel products exports amounted to 2.48 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.

During 9 months, Iran exported 630,000 tons of sponge iron, which is a decrease of 28 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure amounted to 869,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
