BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. In total, more than 2 million tons of goods and 2,623 passenger cars worth approximately 248 trillion rials (about $5.94 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (January 21 through January 26, 2023), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
The value of sales at the IME decreased by 1 percent compared to the preceding Iranian week (January 14 through January 19, 2023).
So, 2.07 million tons of goods and 10,155 passenger cars worth approximately 250 trillion rials (about $5.94 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), in the preceding week.
According to the report, 1.63 million tons of goods worth 166 trillion rials (about $3.95 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.
The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, aluminum, copper, lead, molybdenum concentrate, gold bars, passenger cars and etc.
In addition, about 449,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 80.9 trillion rials (about $1.93 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.
The main products sold in this section were bitumen, vacuum bottom, polymer substances, chemicals, lube cut, base oil, petroleum products, sulfur, and etc.
At the same time, over 2,610 tons of various products worth 1.1 trillion rials (about $26.2 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
