BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. The lead concentrate production of Iran’s Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex in the Isfahan Province (central Iran), increased by 13.5 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, the complex produced a total of 7,409 tons of lead concentrate in 9 months. Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at 6,528 tons.

Also, 210,137 tons of minerals were extracted from the mining complex within 9 months, which is 28 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure amounted to 164,598 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

Over 9 months, 7,297 tons of lead concentrate were sent from the complex to related companies, which is 3.2 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year (7,069 tons).

Reportedly, the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex has reserves of 1 million tons of lead. The figure is expected to reach 3 million tons by mid-2023.
