BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. In total, approximately 35,000 tons of agricultural products worth about $39 million were exported from Iran’s Qazvin Province in the north of the country, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through December 21, 2022), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qazvin Province Azizollah Afzali told Tasnim News Agency, Trend reports.

Afzali noted that the province’s agricultural exports for the reporting period increased by 8 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Of the total agricultural exports from Qazvin Province in 9 months, 27,000 tons worth about $21 million accounted for products of the processing industry,” he added.

The chairman also pointed out that 4,000 tons of cereal products such as biscuits, sweets, and so on worth over $9 million were exported from the province within nine months.

At the same time, 2,000 tons of milk and dairy products worth more than $6 million were exported from the province during the mentioned period, Afzali said.

According to him, 1,000 tons of dried fruits worth $1 million, as well as 500 tons of fish and eggs worth over$1 million were exported from the Qazvin Province in 9 months.

Generally, Iran exported more than 103 million tons of non-oil products worth $45.3 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through January 20, 2023). This is an increase of 2.9 percent in value and 17 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
