BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. In total, about 2.02 million tons of goods and 8,106 passenger cars worth 245 trillion rials (about $5.84 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (February 11 through February 16, 2023), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 5.8 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian week (February 4 through February 9, 2023).

So, 2.42 million tons of goods worth 232 trillion rials (about $5.53 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, approximately 1.58 million tons of goods, and various passenger cars worth about 165 trillion rials (about $3.93 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, molybdenum concentrate, and etc.

In addition, about 440,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 79.3 trillion rials (about $1.9 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were bitumen, vacuum bottom, polymer substances, chemicals, lube cut, base oil, petroleum products, sulfur, and etc.

At the same time, 3,700 tons of various products worth 1.17 trillion rials (about $27.8 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
