BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. Iran’s imports through the customs of Isfahan Province increased by 16 percent in value and 34 percent in volume, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office Rasoul Kuhestani told reporters, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to Kuhestani, about 140,000 tons of goods worth approximately $668 million were imported through the province's customs in 11 months.

“Within 11 months, $178 million worth of manufacturing equipment, $105 million worth of electrical equipment, $104 million worth of iron and steel products, $18 million worth of synthetic fibers, and $16 million worth of rubber materials were imported to the country via the province’s customs,” he added.

The director general also pointed out that the goods worth $167 million were imported from the UAE, worth $109 million from China, worth $107 million from Türkiye, worth $47 million from South Korea, and worth $39 million from Germany.

Kuhestani noted that the revenues of the province’s customs for the reporting period amounted to about 22.3 trillion rials (about $530 million), which is 184 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, there are 5 customs offices operating in Iran’s Isfahan Province.
