BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 20. Iran’s non-oil exports from Genaveh port of Bushehr Province in the south of the country, increased by 41 percent in value and 8 percent in volume, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Iran’s Genaveh Port Customs Office Shokrollah Abu Ali told MANA News Agency, Trend reports.

The director general noted that about 11,400 tons of non-oil products worth $3.37 million were exported from the port in 11 months.

Abu Ali added that various glass materials, mirrors, carpets and livestock were the main products exported from the ports within the mentioned period.

According to him, the mentioned products were mainly exported to Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait and Iraq.

“Furthermore, about 13,000 tons of products worth about $45.6 million were imported through this port in 11 months. The imported products were mainly spare parts and truck tires,” he said.

Abu Ali also pointed out that the customs revenue of Genaveh port for the reporting period amounted to 2.45 trillion rials (about $58.4 million), which is an increase of 141 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

During 11 months, a total 701 ships docked at Genaveh port, and 743 ships left this port, the official said.

Overall, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

At the same time, Iran imported a total of 33.6 million tons of goods worth $53.7 billion for 11 months, which is an increase of 15.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 8.61 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
