BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. The coal concentrate output of two companies operating under the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), increased by 65 percent, during the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2022), compared to the same period in the preceding year, Trend reports citing the IMIDRO’s website.

The mentioned two companies are Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company and Central Alborz Coal Company.

Overall, the two companies produced 733,408 tons of coal concentrate in 11 months. The figure stood at 445,429 tons in the same period of the preceding year.

So, Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company produced 632,956 tons of coal concentrate, and Central Alborz Coal Company - 100,452 tons within eleven months.

At the same time, these companies extracted approximately 2.1 million tons of minerals for 11 months, which is 83 percent compared to 1.5 million tons in the same period of the preceding year.

During 11 months, 703,704 tons of coal concentrate were sent by the mentioned two companies to local companies in the country. This is an increase of 51 percent compared to 466,869 tons in the same period of the preceding Iranian year.

Reportedly, Iran's total coal reserve is about 14 billion tons, of which about 1.2 billion tons are extractable. Also, Iran has the capacity to extract 3.3 million tons of coal mineral and produce 1.9 million tons of coal concentrate per year.
