BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Approximately 382,000 tons of non-oil products worth $235 million were exported via the customs of Iran’s Golestan Province in the north-east of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), Director General of Golestan Province Customs Office Shahriar Shahriari said, Trend reports citing the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Shahriari said that Iran’s non-oil exports through the province’s customs for the reporting period increased by 26 percent in value while decreasing by 7 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022).
The director general added that the exported non-oil products were mainly polystyrene, cheese, dates, iodine, various pipes and profiles, raisins, tomato paste and etc.
According to him, the mentioned goods were exported to 34 countries, mainly Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Iraq.
Meanwhile, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).
This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
