BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of the West Azerbaijan Province (northwestern Iran), increased by 33 percent in value and 10 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Supervisor of Iran's West Azerbaijan Province Customs Office Khaled Jangjoo told IRNA, Trend reports.

The official noted that about 2.12 million tons of non-oil products worth $864 million were exported through the customs of Iran's West Azerbaijan Province for the last Iranian year.

“In addition, 618,000 tons of goods worth $1.05 billion were imported via the province’s customs within the last Iranian year,” he added.

Overall, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023). This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.

At the same time, Iran imported a total of 33.6 million tons of goods worth $53.7 billion for 11 months, which is an increase of 15.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 8.61 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
