Iran reveals details of non-oil exports through Kileh customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. In total, 453,000 tons of non-oil products worth $107 million were exported through Kileh customs in the Sardasht County of Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province in the northwest of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Deputy Director of Kileh Customs, Majed Gholam Nejad told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Gholam Nejad, Iran’s non-oil exports via Kileh customs for the last Iranian year increased by 24 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

He added that ceramics, iron products, fittings, dried fruits, rubber products, fruits and vegetables were mainly exported through the mentioned customs.

The deputy director also said that more than 180 trucks cross through this customs checkpoint daily.

Iran's Kileh border customs is located on the border with Iraq.

Overall, about 2.12 million tons of non-oil products worth $864 million were exported through the customs of Iran's West Azerbaijan Province for the last Iranian year. This is an increase of 33 percent in value and 10 percent in volume compared to the preceding year.
