BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Iron ore concentrate production of 10 major Iranian companies increased by 4.6 percent, during the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.
Overall, these companies produced over 4.63 million tons of iron ore concentrate in the 1st month. The figure stood at 4.4 million tons in the first month of the last Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2022).
Within the 1st month, the Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company produced approximately 1.57 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – approximately 911,000 tons, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company – about 498,000 tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 407,000 tons, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 358,000 tons and Central Iron Ore Company of Iran – approximately 324,000 tons.
In addition, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company produced about 243,000 tons of iron ore concentrate, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company – 222,000 tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 87,500 tons, and Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex – 15,200 tons within the first month.
During the 1st month, the mentioned companies sent 1.15 million tons of iron ore concentrate to the relevant companies. This is a 14 percent decrease compared to 1.33 million tons in the same month last Iranian year.
